Gokase town in the northern part of Miyazaki prefecture (south of Kyushu island) presents a unique terroir surrounded by volcanic caldera of Aso to the North and deep Takachiho mountains to the South.
With all his tea gardens free of agrochemicals (and almost free of any fertilisers, including organics), Miyazaki-san manages to extract the most of this unique terroir while gently caring of the land he works.
This red tea made from rare “Yamanami” cultivar (we’ve tried both first and second flush; conclusion – second is better) is lightly fermented to produce a gentle, herbal and soft red tea that will wake You up in the morning, shake You up in the afternoon. Pure refreshment for mind and body.
